Dutch championships boxing

Past weekend I got invited to come along in a shoot for the dutch championships boxing in Rotterdam, since this is a sport I do not often shoot, actually never done it at all, I was pretty excited. Coming this close to such boxing matches are amazing, I have never been to such an event at all, and now I’m almost in the ring. Photography wise it wasn’t easy, dark room, and quick action.

would be interested in what settings you used on the camera, I do a lot of martial arts photography, but am allowed to use flash to help me freeze the subjects as there is no special ‘ring lighting’ to help.

Personally i used a 1d mark III with a 70-200 f/2.8 and a 17-35 f/2.8. nothing more, no flash nothing ;-)
