Second body: Canon EOS 7D

Maybe I’m just spoiled, but shooting sports with just 1 body is a hell! However, since this weekend I acquired a new toy. The Canon EOS 7D, for me it was a decision between a upgrade to the 1D Mark IV or a second body the 7D. While I was sceptic about the Auto Focus tracking and the quality difference of the 1D series’s body in comparison to the 7D, but actually I’m blown away. The quality, resolution and tracking performance is amazing! To give it an honest comparison I still need to try it on a field hockey or soccer game, but for my tests so far it out performed my expectations. The only critique on the cam I have is the controls, I made to many mistakes on exedently pressing buttons and flipping switches, but hopefully this change after some more practice. If you are considering I would definitely suggest to go for it. No its no 1D, No its not as solid and No its no pro-cam but as a second body, or as a first body for a starting shooter upgrading from a xxxD or xxD it’s awesome!
