Did flickr start a war with youtube, viddler or other video websites? No i think not. On the famous photo website Flickr will it be possible to upload small video’s. When you are a pro member of flickr, you are since yesterday allowed to upload 90 seconds of video. why 90 seconds. thats my question as well.
the answer came from the flickr blog, they tried not to follow existing video site but follow their own vision, “Sharing photo’s and now video which are taken by you to share with friends and family” I personally think its great that the choice is made not to follow but to lead!
I agree with your and their statement. I don’t think they’re on the same stage with YouTube when it comes to video so I like the different approach they’ve taken in presenting their new project. I had my reservations at first about it, but I’ve succumb to it.
i like it as well. BUT!! maybe 90 sec. is a bit to short movies like 3 / 3.30 min. are better. To short for a videoclip or something but long enough for your own stuff made with you digicam or phone
